    1.1 Optics System

    The thermal camera utilize mid-wave (3.7μm~4.8μm) continuous zoom optical system which is full transmissive structure consists of front fixed lenses group, zoom lenses group, compensation lenses group, back fixed lenses group, reflector and relay lenses group. The optics system diagram refers to Figure 1.

    The zoom lenses group and compensation lenses group adopt 2 pieces of separating lens. In order to ensure the clear and stable image quality, when the zoom lenses move along the axis direction, the compensation lenses move with them synchronously to make real-time compensation. Dual motor drive design for zoom and compensation lenses group can diminish volume and reduce weight, at same time, using reflectors to reflective light path can also diminish volume further. The relay lenses make entrance pupil located in the central of system, each lens focal power and caliber are uniformity to realize 100% cooled shield efficiency.

    1.2 Detector

    The JH640-800 long range surveillance thermal camera chooses imported third generation of cooled staring focal plane array detector, it is the most mature and the most widely applied high performance detector. The focal plane is made of HgCdTe material with mid-wave (3.7μm~4.8μm) infrared response. The detectivity (D*) reaches. With advantages of good performance in the effective spectral region and broad operating temperature range, this detector have widely applied to infrared detection, surveillance, monitoring, warning, target search and tracking on the aircraft, vessel, vehicle and other carriers.

    The detector cooling adopts integra Stirling cycle cooler that utilize gassy isentropic expansion principle with characters of multi-function and long-life .This kind of cooler have many advantages, such as compact structure, small volume, light weight, wide cooled temperature range, short starting time, high efficiency, long life, easy to control, long continuous working time and so on.

    1.3 Signal Processing Circuit

    1.3.1 Principle

    If compared infrared focal plane arrays to eyes of infrared thermal camera, image processing circuit board is its brain. The main function of signal processing circuit (SPC) is comprehensive real-time signal analysis aimed at infrared image defects. On the basis of temperature stability of FPA, SPC achieve functions of driving signal generation, standard video compositing, communications with PC, human-machine communication etc. The basic principle of signal processing circuit board refers to Figure 2.
